Congratulations on your purchase of a genuine Penny® Skateboard.

Your new board is designed with quality components and Penny Australia’s secret plastic formula to ensure a premium ride, built for strength, flexibility, performance and maximum radness. However please be aware that over time general wear and tear or prolonged exposure to UV or moisture may impair the performance of your Penny® Skateboard. We recommend your skateboard be continuously maintained and components replaced throughout the life of your board to ensure a safe and smooth ride.

Penny® Skateboards Servicing & Maintenance

Tightening or adjustments of all bolts and nuts may be required to suit your riding preference. It is expressly recommended that you regularly check your Penny® Skateboard for loose bolts, nuts or damage prior to skating.

• Replacement of wheels is recommended after visible wear & tear. Replacement of wheels with genuine Penny® Skateboard manufactured wheels is highly recommended.

• Inspect your deck regularly for chips or cracks. If any are found, discontinue use and replace. Replacement with a genuine Penny® Skateboard manufactured deck is required.

• Replacement of bearings, nuts and bolts after sustained use is recommended. Replacement with genuine Penny® Skateboard manufactured components is recommended.

Penny® Skateboards Important Product Information

This complete skateboard is a piece of sporting equipment. It was designed and manufactured to operate with all of the original components supplied. It is only designed to operate safely with correct use of Penny® manufactured components.

Any modifications made to this board will invalidate your warranty and may impair safety and/or impact performance of the equipment for its intended use.

This Penny® Skateboard is designed for single user operation at a maximum mass per user of 100kg / 220 pounds. This Penny® Skateboard is compliant with the EN 13613:2009 Class A standard. Penny® and PennyAustralia® and all related logos and marks are registered trademarks of Absolute International Pty Ltd.

The model of your Penny® Skateboard can be found on the swing tag affixed to your board (for non-customised products). Your skateboard can be identified by the batch marking made near the trucks on your genuine Penny® Skateboard manufactured deck.

Penny® Skateboards Important Safety Information & Instructions for Use

This product is to be used for the sole purpose of skateboarding, in adherence with regulations regarding private property and road safety, and ideally on flat, clean and dry surfaces. Always obey the road laws relevant to your jurisdiction. It is advised that protective equipment, including head protection, hand/wrist protection, elbow protection and knee protection is used when operating this skateboard.

No modifications should be made to your skateboard, and any such modifications will immediately void your warranty.

Penny Skateboards Limited Warranty

Absolute Board Co. Pty Ltd (ACN 134044812) (referred to in this document as we, our, us) offers a lifetime warranty for the Penny® Skateboard. The terms of such warranty are as set out in this document.

Repair or replacement of product

We warrant that your Penny® Skateboard will not chip or break under normal riding conditions due to defects in materials or workmanship.

The warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the damaged Penny® Skateboard, at our discretion.

The warranty covers the first sale purchaser of a Penny® Skateboard, but is not transferable. This means that a subsequent purchaser of a Penny® Skateboard cannot make a claim under this warranty.

Making a claim

You must report any relevant defects to us within 30 days of becoming aware of the damage. Our contact details are listed at the end of this document.


The warranty does not cover:

  1. breakage or damage due to normal wear and tear;
  2. breakage or damage from improper installation of accessories;
  3. breakage or damage from improper foot position while landing high impact tricks;
  4. damage or scratching to the aesthetic display of the board and its designs caused whilst riding;
  5. intentional breakage or damage;
  6. tail or nose wear from dragging on the ground while skating;
  7. edge chipping from normal wear and tear (rather than a manufacturing defect);
  8. warping from exposure to heat, rain or snow; or
  9. misuse of the product.

Except as contemplated by the above warranty and the Australian Consumer Law section below, we are not liable for any loss or damage suffered or incurred by you (however caused, including by our negligence) in connection with your Penny® Skateboard.

Nothing above limits any statutory rights of any person that cannot be limited or excluded by law, and exists in addition to other rights and remedies under relevant law in relation to the goods to which the warranty relates.

Except as otherwise specifically provided herein, we make no representations or warranties, express or implied, including, to the extent permitted by applicable law, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, about our Penny® Skateboard material or application process or about your Penny® Skateboard.

Consumer Law

Except as contemplated by the next paragraph, nothing in this document is intended to limit any of your rights under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) (Competition and Consumer Act) or any other applicable law.

If the Competition and Consumer Act or any other legislation states that there is a guarantee in relation to any good or service supplied by us in connection with this document, and our liability for failing to comply with that guarantee cannot be excluded but may be limited, the content of the `Exclusions’ section will not apply to that liability and instead our liability for such failure is limited (at our election) to, in the case of a supply of goods, us replacing the goods or supplying equivalent goods or repairing the goods, or in the case of a supply of services, us supplying the services again or paying the cost of having the services supplied again.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

All entitlements referred to in the prior paragraph are to be claimed against us to the extent and in the manner contemplated by the Competition and Consumer Act or any other applicable law. 

Governing law

The laws of Queensland, Australia govern this document. Each of us and you irrevocably submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland, Australia and courts competent to hear appeals from those courts.
